Cookie Policy

RÉSONANCE runs with minimal cookies and local storage. No advertising cookies or third-party trackers: here is exactly what we use.

Functional and security storage

These items are limited to form security and interface preferences requested by the user:

  • Light/dark theme preference (localStorage.theme, with its explicit-choice marker localStorage.userSetTheme).
  • Language preference (localStorage.lang, with its explicit-choice marker localStorage.userSetLang).
  • Entrance-screen replay preference (localStorage.entranceSeen), recorded after the explicit action of entering.
  • Form anti-forgery protection (__Host-csrf_token, technical cookie with a 2-hour lifetime, and its sessionStorage.csrfToken copy limited to the tab session).

This storage is exempt from consent: the three interface preferences exclusively remember a setting requested by the user, while the CSRF token is strictly necessary to secure the form. In particular, entranceSeen does not measure browsing: after the user selects “Enter”, it only records their choice not to replay that screen.

No advertising or analytics storage in the browser

Since 30 August 2026, no browser-side advertising, analytics or geolocation feature is active: the approximate geolocation (which used to preselect the language) has been removed. The default language now relies on the language declared by your browser, with no network call and no storage, and can be changed at any time via the FR | EN switch. No advertising or analytics consent banner is therefore displayed.

Since June 2026, the site's fonts and images are self-hosted: no resource is loaded from a third-party service (neither Google Fonts nor an external image library). The site therefore sets no third-party cookie.

Aggregate measurement at the edge

Cloudflare's infrastructure provides Zone Analytics from requests received at the edge. This measurement loads no script and sets no analytics cookie or storage in your browser. It produces aggregate traffic metrics. As it does not access the user's terminal, it does not require consent under tracker rules. Its processing of personal data relies on the legitimate interest described in the privacy policy.

No advertising or third-party analytics trackers in the browser

RÉSONANCE uses no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no embedded social media button. Your browsing is not tracked for commercial purposes.

Controlling this storage

Theme and language preferences can be changed at any time via the site's switches. All of this local storage can be cleared through your browser settings (site data), with no effect other than returning to the default settings.
